Cat Eyes Helmet Band, ACH Helmet Band

– The Regulation

The Army Cat Eyes Helmet Band enhances nighttime visibility and identification during tactical operations. While not explicitly detailed in AR 670-1, it is widely accepted across units for use on ACH (Advanced Combat Helmet). Two luminous cat eyes are sewn on the rear for clear recognition in low-light conditions. Many units also recommend or require custom embroidery of the soldier’s name, blood type, and roster number. This band supports operational safety, cohesion, and rapid identification—especially during nighttime movements.
